A Basket of thanks.

Art, Life

…….And here is that basket. I don’t know what noun should be used as a naming noun for gratitude, but a basket fits nicely. My thanks go to http://icklekins.wordpress.com/about/  for her nomination of my blog for the versatile blogger award. I feel like I should be more bendy in a yoga sort of way if I am going to be truly versatile, but that’s my mind for you!

This requires some blogging etiquette so stay with me, when one is nominated there are responsibilities, no gain without pain as they say. So..
If you are nominated, you’ve been awarded the Versatile Blogger award.

  •  Thank the person who gave you this award. That’s common courtesy.
  •  Include a link to their blog. That’s also common courtesy — if you can figure out how to do it.
  •  Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.
  •  Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award
  •  Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.

Seven fascinating details about me then;

I’m female. That isn’t bragging, it just impacts quite alot on my life. I was brought up with older brothers and for quite a few years was quite confused by the male/female thing. It came as quite a shock when I entered the adult world that girls were generally treated differently. Normally pretty shabbily. I’ve got over that now though.

I like thinking a lot. This hasn’t always gone down well. If I had a pound for every time someone told me ‘You think too much’ I would have a better wardrobe than I own now. I wish the general population thought more, but what do I know?

Babies and puppies make me go ‘Ahhhhhhh!’ Sorry!! They just do.

I can’t abide seafood. Yuk. Yuk. Yuk.

I have a deep longing to be fluent in a different language , but absolutely know there is not a  chance in Hell that I will achieve anything near.

If I could choose one thing to improve the quality of my life, it would be a flotation tank. I could immerse myself in hot water to my chin for hours. I may dissolve , but that could help the sliimming problem.

I feel lucky. Lucky to be in a country that values democracy, lucky to have the food I want to eat, and lucky to have the privilege of loving my family, who I think are the bees knees, even if they think I am a crazy lady, who talks to anyone and likes trees alot.

Whoah!!! Getting quite teary here, now for the part where I hand over to you good people my nominations.  There are alot of great people out there, just doing their thing.

Blogging is like my cup of tea time, a reward after doing something I have to do. While I’m ironing I shall be thinking about what to talk to you all about. Win ,win!

  1. I think you are bendy enough – the rules said to pick someone from my blogroll who I thought was excellent. Voila.

Thinking too much is never a bad thing. I always think too much, about everything. The trick to thinking too much is being selective in what thoughts you let escape from the deepthot processes. After all, who is going to accuse you of thinking too much if they never know you are thinking?

I am glad you feel lucky – you are. Keep posting your thoughts and your luck to your blog! I enjoy reading it.

    1. That is really lovely – thank you! I can’t easily manage to do everything I would like to, I lead a pretty restricted life because of my health, but what I have learnt is that restricted doesn’t mean poor. In many ways I have developed sides of myself that would have remained under developed if I had been healthy , and immersed in the world!!

  2. Thank you so much. I am short of words for having described my blog the way you did.

Sifted through the posts in your blog, loved the posts. Sadly, being busy, I hardly get time to follow too many blogs. But must now start doing so. So borderless is this world of bloggers, exactly like a dream of a World with no borders and no wars, I have cherished since childhood.

    Thank you once again. 🙂
