Worked on some images for my new little miniature book, an ongoing project that I am enjoying immensely.  It started a few months ago when I began to compile a text and images for the long poem ‘Confederacy of Birds’.  Well that did have a finished product, although the learning curve was a  steep one, and that particular book will not be on view to the general public!  I will return to the project though, because it demands a revisit, and I will produce a different , improved version.  For now I am diving into all sorts of directions, like a kid in a sweet shop, wanting to try new methods, new themes and always wanting to reinvent the wheel with trusted particular favourites.  I suppose it s just like any creative endeavour, whether it be wrting, painting or music; the thrill is the melding of new and old, creating and recreating, and when the buzz is there it’s simply the best feeling in the world.  When it’s quiet, it’s sometimes difficult to remember why you keep doing the same things over and over,  why you keep trying to express what has been expressed previously by others and much better!!  What amazes me is how the spirit returns, if you just sit quiet and wait.  Because I am in attendance on Spring, here’s a poem for you by e.e.cummings.  Much of a muchness in all things, is our cummings.  He reveals the springiness in Spring most wonderfully.
